How is zodiac compatibility worked out?
Traditionally by how far apart two signs sit on the zodiac wheel. Signs of the same element (four apart) and of supporting elements (two apart) are the easiest matches; signs three or five apart take more work; opposite signs attract and need balance.
Which signs are most compatible?
By tradition, signs of the same element: fire with fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), earth with earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn), air with air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) and water with water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces). Fire and air, and earth and water, also tend to get on well.
Can a challenging match still work?
Yes. A challenging match by tradition means more friction, not a bad relationship. Many lasting couples have squared or opposite Sun signs, and the rest of their charts often explain why it works.
Is Sun sign compatibility enough?
